SUPER Foods for SUPER Women: Part One
“The doctor of the future will no longer treat the human frame with drugs, but rather will cure and prevent disease with nutrition.” – Thomas Edison
Nutrition is king. No matter how hard you train, how many times a week you workout, or how good you look in your skinny jeans if you neglect your nutrition you will be effected. When we put the proper nutrition in our body we have the power to heal, reverse illness, obtain abundant energy and perform at our best. Unfortunatley there is a wealth of misinformation on proper nutrition.
Questions that we’ve all asked -> What is a probitotic? Why do I need this and do I have to eat a ton of yogurt to get my daily intake? If I cut dairy out of my diet how am I going to get calcium and prevent things like osteoporosis and brittle bones? Does fat make you fat? How bad is soy, really? Is soy okay if I’m depleted in estrogen?

We love super foods!
Super Foods [noun] – powerhouse foods that are rich in vitamins, minerals and other nutrients. They are minimally processed foods that provide your body with essential and maximum amount of nutrition.
Adrenal Glands [noun] – either of two small, dissimilarly shaped endocrine glands, one located above each kidney, consisting of the cortex, which secretes several steroid hormones, and the medulla, which secretes epinephrine.
These glands, though relatively small in comparison to your other organs, play a significant role in your body. In this video Crystal covers how adrenal glands effect menopause, energy and overall health and how improper nutrition can lead to imbalance. “Their basic role for you is the fight or flight response. When these are firing constantly due to over-stress they get taxed, which leads to imbalance.”
To Keep Your Adrenals Happy:
- Vitamin C – oranges & strawberries
- Vitamin E – nuts & seeds
- Organ Meats – (chicken, beef, kidneys)
- Minerals – calcium, magnesium, zinc, selenium, iodine and bone broth
